The Makerbot replicator 2x

The MakerBot Replicator 2x is a 3D printer made by MakerBot. It uses a printing method known as Fused Deposition Modeling or FDM. FDM is an additive manufacturing technique in which filament is heated to its melting point and extruded layer by layer following a predetermined computer design to create a 3D object. The Replicator 2x is capable of dual extrusion to create objects in two different colors. Although it is capable of printing in two different colors it is unable to combine the two colors to create a new color. For example an object can be printed in black and white, but the black and white can not be combined during printing to create shades of gray.
