About Little Free Library®

Comfort Cabinets Sponsored by the Friends of NCPL

A Comfort Cabinet is an area where individuals can find hygiene products and other necessities at no cost. Everyone is welcome to take items from the Comfort Cabinet, no questions asked. There is a Comfort Cabinet located at each NCPL branch. The Friends of NCPL funded the initial purchases to establish the Comfort Cabinets and they are now maintained largely by donations from individuals and community organizations.

Donations

BOOKS & DVDS
The Friends of the Library gratefully accept donations of gently used books and DVDs. These donations help us:
  • Keep our Little Free Libraries brimming with reading treasures.
  • Stock the annual Friends of the Library Book Sale, with proceeds benefiting Friends-led community initiatives and library services.

We kindly request that you refrain from donating:
  • Water-damaged books
  • Excessively worn or soiled books
  • Outdated nonfiction, encyclopedias, or textbooks

Donations can be placed directly inside the Little Free Libraries across Noble County or taken to your nearest NCPL branch.
Hygiene necessities
Donations of hygiene necessities help keep our Comfort Cabinets stocked to meet the needs of our community.

If you are interested in donating to NCPL's Comfort Cabinets, please click HERE to view our Amazon wishlist or download a printable list of suggestions HERE.

The wishlist is not all-encompassing and other items may be accepted, however, we ask that you do not donate food products or opened/used hygiene products. If you have questions, please call your local NCPL branch!
MONETARY DONATIONS
Monetary donations are warmly welcomed by the Friends of NCPL.

Donations can be made at any NCPL branch anytime or during Friends of the Library events such as the annual Book Sale.

Your support allows us to:
  • Fund enriching library programs and activities.
  • Enhance library services for all community members.
  • Foster a love of reading within our community.
