S1 Laser Cutting & Engraving

Picture
The xTool S1 Diode Laser Cutter uses a 20 watt diode laser head to engrave on & sometimes cut various materials like wood, opaque acrylic, PU leather, and more. If you are unsure if a material will be compatible with the S1 laser, feel free to check out the XTool website or the library for more information.
The S1 Laser cutter has a max project height of 2.7 inches (68mm) and a working area of 19.6 x 12.5 inches (498 mm × 319 mm). We do not have any attachments to complete specialized projects outside of this range at this time.

If you would like to get started ahead of time, you can start working on the Trainings for the S1 machine from home! You can watch multiple tutorials teaching you about the machine, how to use the design software, & all of the safety measures involved.

You are also able to download the xTool Studio Software for free to start creating projects at any time and bring them in to use with our machine in the Bridge. If you create your own account and save your projects to your studio, you will be able to log in to your account and access everything you have done from the Bridge computers.

Patrons are welcome to bring in their own materials for use in the Bridge but it is recommended to be prepared for test runs as each material will need different setting adjustments and tweaks.

Also, check to see that the material you bring in is compatible with a diode laser. We have not had much success with many acrylics.
