The Bambu Labs A1 3D is designed for beginners and hobbyists that uses PLA and PETG filaments. We have a supply of certain colors and styles in the Bridge but you are also able to bring in your own PETG or PLA filament. The build volume of this machine is 10 x 10 x 10 inches and we have various sized nozzles for patrons to use as well.

The A2 3D printer has a build volume of 12.99 x 12.60 x 12.80 inches. Patrons are able to bring their own PLA or PETG filament to use at no cost or pay to use filament provided in the Bridge.
Both the A1 and the A2 printers share the same software so don't stress about having to learn a whole new process for the new machine! Scroll down to learn more about how the process works. |

Finding Models
There are many websites available to find models for 3D printing. Some of them offer free downloads and others require payment before granting access to 3D print files. If you happen to purchase a print file, we can help you download and print it using our machine during Bridge open hours. A few of the great websites we use that have free-to-use files are found below. |
Creating Models
If you need something very specific that you can't find online or would like to try your hand at desiging your own print, there are also many sites that allow you to design and download your design for free. We can help provide resources and beginning guidance to get you started during open hours but highly reccomend checking out online tutorials and resources to get the best information! |
Printing In The Bridge
PRINTING-
Once you find or create a model you want to print, a Bridge staff member will walk you through how to download, open, and set up your design to print in the best way possible. Most prints take a long time to print so once the print has started, a staff member will mark down your information & give you a reminder to pick up your print at a later time or date depending on how long the print will take.
PICK UP-
Once your print is all finished, a staff member will pull the print off off the machine and place it into a box. Then we will write down how much it weighs, the cost for the print, and then take it up to the front desk for patrons to pick up. All you will need to do give your name, verify that the print is correct, & then pay.
We do not accept payment before a print is done to ensure that the model prints correctly
& that the cost accurately reflects what the patron is receiving.
